RULES OF THE GAME
Game based on the novel by Jules Verne, circa 1904.
Rules simplified and adapted.
For 2 or more players.
Requires 2 dice of different colours (red and blue) and one token per person.
On your turn, roll both dice and move forward the number of squares indicated.
> If the blue dice shows 1: move forward twice the number indicated by the other dice.
> If the red dice shows 1: move back the number indicated by the other dice.
> If both dice show 1: move forward 12 squares.
Once you have passed square 70, the three previous rules no longer apply.
To win, be the first to reach square 79 (if the points shown on the dice are higher, move back the same number of squares).
- 3: You bet on your victory.
Move forward 10 squares. - 21: You meet Aouda.
Play again. - 23: In order to save Aouda,
wait here until another player joins you. - 30: You spend a turn proving your innocence.
- 40: You flee from Passepartout’s performance.
Move back 5 squares. - 49: The bridge collapses.
You skip a turn. - 50: You miraculously escape the collapse of the bridge.
Move forward 5 squares. - 53: You fall asleep during the pastor’s sermon.
Skip a turn. - 57 and 58: In prison.
Wait here until someone frees you by reaching square 60. - 71: Boat breakdown.
You skip two turns. - 73: Inspector Fix is chasing you.
Go back to square 62 and play again. - 74: In prison.
Wait for someone to join you to free you. - 77: Finally back! You return home and decide to stop there.
End of the game for you. - 79: You rush to square 80 and win your bet, and the game.
- 80: You arrive 5 minutes late. Bet lost, and end of the game for you.
