About Jules Verne

Jules Verne grew up in Nantes, a large port city that would fuel his imagination and his desire to travel. In 1861, his meeting with the publisher Hetzel was decisive. Together, they were to create the Extraordinary Journeys, making a lasting impact on literature and the imagination.

Still famous for the eighty stories that make up the Extraordinary Journeys, Jules Verne is also the author of plays, studies, poems and songbooks.
