Nantes is home to the autograph manuscripts that make up the forewords to 100 novels, short stories, plays and other writings by Jules Verne, a unique corpus of 20,000 sheets that allow us to follow the development of the work as it was written by its creator.
These manuscripts open up a vast field of exploration. Over the pages, we get to know the author and his publisher Hetzel. Michel Ardan, Phileas Fogg, Passepartout, Michel Strogoff and other mythical heroes come to life, and the Extraordinary Journeys are born.
